The Resistant Izmir Project, which is carried out under the coordination of AFAD, with European Union financing and the technical support of GFDRR and the World Bank, aims to make Izmir more prepared and resistant to disaster risks. Within the scope of the project; studies on multiple disaster risks such as earthquakes, and floods, disasters caused by climate change and industrial accidents will be carried out, and one of the faculty members of our university, Asst.Prof. Uğur Serencam works as a World Bank project consultant in the fields of flood and climate change within the project.
